Printhie Wines has won Best Sparkling for its Swift Cuvée NV at the 2016 Royal Melbourne Wine Awards (RMWA), Australia’s most prestigious wine show.
These highly respected awards are renowned both nationally, and internationally, rewarding excellence in Australian winemaking.
And with over 3,100 entries overall, and 500 wineries and winemakers entering into this year’s awards, the judges said the 2015 vintage across both red and white wines was outstanding.
Owner of Printhie Wines, Edward Swift commented: “It’s an honour for Printhie to be awarded Best Sparkling at the 2016 Royal Melbourne Wine Awards, especially with the calibre of Aussie sparkling wine being so high.

The Swift Cuvee NV is produced using méthode traditionnelle and, with the class of sparkling wine made locally reaching new heights, it is widely acknowledge that the best sparkling wines in Australia hail from cool climate regions like Orange.

The RMWA have been running for over 130 years and now awards some of the most coveted wine trophies in the country.
